Hello and Welcome!
I am a composer, improviser and vocalist focused on what I call “a Post Inter-Cultural Path” in the music making process. I borrow from Iranian music tradition, Jazz, Western contemporary music, and computer to compose fully notated scores or music for improvisers.
I enjoy performing with Sibarg Ensemble and collaborating both on and off stage with influential people while continuously learning from my mentors, colleagues and students.
As of November 2020, I am an adjunct professor of music theory at Saddleback College while teaching a course on Music in Modern Iran at UC Irvine where I am working on writing my PhD dissertation.
